Outreach

"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few" (Matthew 9:37, NIV).

Temple Baptist Church supports missions work both through prayer and financially.  We are also active as a church in ministry and outreach in and around our church community and across the country.  Temple gives God the glory for the privilege to send out missionaries to serve throughout the world proclaiming the Good News.  Remember what Jesus said, "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses ... to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8, NIV).  More information is coming soon about mission opportunities throughout church, until then for more information on the missions that we support please take a look at the BMAA World Missions web site...or CLICK HERE for all of our supported Missionaries throughout North America and Internationally.

Join us Sunday morning, August 17th during the Sunday School hour as we train for "Takin' it to the Curbs", a evangelism initiative in which we will visit new housing communities and offer to paint their address number on their curb, as well as share the good news with them.  For more information, check out August's "Temple Tidings" or contact JD Courtney, Matt Henslee, or Aaron Ledford.

Food/Clothing Ministry

"If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs."  Deuteronomy 15:7-8

Manna From Heaven Food Pantry The food pantry serves as an outreach ministry of Temple Baptist Church to the community and church members who have physical needs. The food is obtained through the donation of non-perishable food items on a weekly basis. The pantry is open every other week on Monday nights from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Volunteers are needed to serve by greeting, distributing food, witnessing/praying and working with the children. Volunteers will work on a rotational basis. The primary goal is to feed both physical and spiritual needs and witness to the love of God.

Manna From Heaven Clothes Closet — Our clothes closet is stocked and operated by our members who wish to be part of a coordinated effort to meet needs. Clothes that are clean and in excellent condition are donated by members and others to be given to those in need.

The Clothes Closet is open on the same night as the pantry and volunteers are always needed. Volunteers are also needed during any day of the week to sort, fold and hang clothes. If you have any questions regarding these ministries, please call us at 501-565 4966.

"For I was hungry and you gave Me food;  I was thirsty and you gave Me drink;  I was a stranger and you took me in;  I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me." Matthew 25:35-36a
